Welcome to my blog!
I have an overall focus on the *nix world of technology, with a tendency to favour the BSD point of view in regard to software engineering.
Web development, system administration and low-to-high-level software engineering are all familiar areas for me. My blog will focus on software engineering, information security and system administration, with occasional comments about web frameworks and design concepts.
I have a special interest in information security spanning over several areas of information technology. I enjoy the study of defense in depth techniques, be that sandboxes, jails/namespaces, compartmentalization or high assurance technologies. Networks, applications and operating systems need be guarded by proper system architectures, that minimizes the risks in day-to-day operations and for this reason I like OpenBSD for its stance on proactive security.
I am part of the team DTTCM, this year (2020) we went to be the best new team in the CTF (Capture The Flag) Säkerhets-SM. It was about reverse engineering, forensics, crypto and pwn (web/server infrastructure). While it wasn't my first time partaking in activities related to information security (the year before I was at a summer camp at FRA, the Swedish Signals Intelligence agency), it was the first CTF I participated in and that was fun. I hope to do more CTF:s in the future.
I'm nowadays day-to-day primarily a sysadmin, maintaining several systems that are responsible for routing, web and email. Every now and then I do projects such as writing drivers, designing graphical user interfaces and writing web challenges (CTF:s).
